Business Teacher – June Start | Long-Term Opportunity Until March 2027

TARA Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a successful secondary school in the Telford area with the recruitment of a Business Teacher for a long-term position starting in June and continuing until March 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Business Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school, teaching Business Studies at GCSE level. The school is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Business Teacher who can inspire students and deliver engaging lessons that help learners achieve their full potential.

The Role

The successful Business Teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality Business Studies lessons across Key Stage 4. You will work as part of an established department, contributing to a positive learning environment and supporting students in achieving strong GCSE outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging GCSE Business Studies lessons.

  • Planning and preparing lessons in line with the curriculum.

  • Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress.

  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Supporting students of all abilities to reach their academic goals.

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school where appropriate.

Requirements

To be considered for this Business Teacher position, candidates should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary school level.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Business education.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • The ability to motivate and engage students.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Business Studies, Economics, or a related subject.

  • PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

 

This long-term opportunity would suit an experienced Business Teacher or an ambitious ECT looking to gain valuable experience within a supportive school environment.
