On behalf of a well-established and nurturing preschool in Harrow, Tara Professional Recruitment is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join their team this September. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity for a childcare professional passionate about early years education and leadership.

Location: Harrow, London
Start Date: September 2025
Working Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:15 PM
About the Role:
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Preschool principal to support the daily operations of the setting, lead the team, and ensure the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding are consistently met. This is a key leadership role that will allow you to make a real impact on children’s development and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day management of the preschool, including staffing, curriculum planning, and compliance with EYFS and Ofsted standards
- Lead, mentor, and support staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are consistently met
- Oversee planning, observations, and assessments, ensuring they are in line with EYFS expectations
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and external professionals
- Act as the Manager in their absence, ensuring smooth operation of the setting
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years Childcare qualification (Level 5 or above desirable)
- Previous experience in a senior or leadership role within an early years setting
- Strong understanding of the EYFS, child development, and safeguarding practices
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- A genuine passion for early years education
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one through us)
