We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Telford, with an immediate start for the remainder of this half term. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced English Teacher to make an immediate impact within a supportive and inclusive school environment.

The Role

The successful English Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and purposeful English lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop their reading, writing, communication and analytical skills.

You will join the school on a temporary basis for the remainder of this half term, with the potential for the role to provide valuable experience within a well-regarded secondary setting.

The ideal English Teacher will be confident in managing a classroom, planning and delivering effective lessons, and adapting their approach to meet the needs of learners of different abilities.

Requirements

We are looking for an English Teacher who:

• Has relevant teaching experience within a secondary school setting.

• Can confidently teach English across KS3 and KS4.

• Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Can deliver engaging, well-structured and appropriately challenging lessons.

• Is committed to supporting student progress and achievement.

• Works effectively as part of a wider teaching team.

• Is available to start next week and commit to the remainder of the half term.

• Holds QTS, or has relevant experience and qualifications to teach English in a UK secondary setting.
