Learning Support Assistants (Evening GCSE Classes)

🕔 Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 5:15pm – 8:45pm

Are you passionate about supporting learners to achieve their potential?

An established further education setting in Shrewsbury is seeking two dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to provide 1:1 support for an adult learner in evening GCSE English and Maths classes.

The Role:

• Provide in-class support to a student who uses a wheelchair.

• Assist with scribing during lessons and supporting engagement in learning activities.

• Offer personal care, including toileting assistance, as required (full training and guidance provided).

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to create a positive, inclusive learning experience.

Requirements:

• Experience supporting learners with additional needs or physical disabilities is desirable.

• Compassionate, patient, and professional approach.

• Comfortable providing personal care and maintaining confidentiality.

• Availability for both Tuesday and Wednesday evenings during term time.

• First Aid qualification or experience.

Details:

• Hours: 5:15pm–8:45pm, Tuesdays and Wednesdays

• Location: Adult education setting in Shropshire

• Contract: Temporary, ongoing until Summer 2026

• Start date: ASAP
