MATHS TUTOR - SEPTEMBER START - PART TIME

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist education provider in the Shrewsbury area for a Maths Tutor to join their team from September on a long-term basis, working 2 days per week.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive, learner-focused environment where you'll teach small groups of students, enabling you to build strong relationships and make a real impact on their confidence and progress in maths.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging Maths lessons, including Functional Skills where appropriate.

  • Adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs and abilities.

  • Support learners to achieve their educational goals in a positive and inclusive setting.

  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to help students succeed.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience teaching or tutoring Maths (Functional Skills or GCSE level desirable).

  • Holds a relevant teaching qualification or has significant tutoring experience.

  • Is patient, encouraging and passionate about helping learners overcome barriers to education.

  • Can build positive relationships and motivate students with varying abilities.

  • Has experience working with learners with additional needs or SEMH, although this is not essential.
