Nursery TA

Tara are seeking a vibrant Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant for a short term cover in a School Nursery starting after February Half Term.  The school are seeking a Teaching Assistant with Nursery or Early years experience to help support the class teacher, initially for a 4 week period. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning activities for children in the Nursery.
  • Work with small groups or individual children to support their learning and development.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and engaging classroom environment.
  • Help with planning, preparation, and assessment of children’s progress.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Support children in their emotional and social development, promoting positive behaviour.

  • Working hours - 8.15am - 3.45pm

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • A passion for working with young children in an EYFS setting.
  • Experience working with children, ideally within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • A positive, nurturing attitude and the ability to engage children in learning.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A relevant qualification in childcare or education (Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable).
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
