Tara Professional Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of a well-established and child-centred preschool in Harrow. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Qualified Teacher (QTS) to join their team from September 2025.
Job Title: Qualified Teacher (QTS) – Preschool
Location: Harrow, London
Start Date: September 2025
Working Hours:
- Core hours: 8:15 AM – 4:15 PM (term time only)
- Staff meetings: Until 4:30 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays
- Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (part-time) or Full-Time (if suitable)
This role is ideal for a passionate educator looking to work 3 full days (Monday to Wednesday), or potentially full-time for candidates with leadership experience who may also take on a Deputy Manager role.
About the Role:
You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality early years education, supporting children’s development through engaging learning opportunities, and contributing to a strong, collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, creative, and stimulating lessons aligned with the EYFS framework
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment that supports each child’s individual needs
- Carry out observations, assessments, and maintain records of children’s progress
- Work in close partnership with parents, carers, and the wider preschool team
- Attend weekly staff meetings (Monday and Wednesday until 4:30 PM)
- (If full-time with leadership): Support in mentoring staff and supporting day-to-day operational duties alongside the Preschool Manager
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working in Early Years or EYFS settings
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A collaborative and flexible approach to working within a team
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one through Tara)
