We work with an inclusive and well-established Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Ealing, committed to providing high-quality education and therapeutic support for children and young people with a range of complex needs. The multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to ensure each pupil receives personalised, holistic care that promotes independence, wellbeing, and lifelong learning.
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join a school-based therapy team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an OT with experience or strong interest in working within an educational, paediatric, or SEN setting.
You will play a key role in supporting pupils with physical, sensory, developmental, and learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop functional life skills.
Key Responsibilities
Assess pupils’ occupational therapy needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
Deliver 1:1 and small-group therapy sessions within classroom and therapy-room settings.
Work collaboratively with teachers, learning support assistants, SALTs, physiotherapists, and external specialists.
Provide recommendations to staff regarding adaptive equipment, sensory strategies, and environmental modifications.
Monitor progress, maintain accurate reports, and update EHCP targets.
Support the development of pupils’ fine motor skills, sensory regulation, motor planning, and independence skills.
Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to annual reviews.
Requirements
Qualified Occupational Therapist.
Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEN or paediatric settings.
Strong understanding of sensory processing, motor development, and functional skill development.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and record-keeping skills.
A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting complex needs.
Must have sponsorship to work in the UK
