School Administrator
School Administrator (Part-Time – Thursdays & Fridays)
Location: South Shropshire
Hours: 2 days per week (Thursday & Friday)
Contract: Term time (with potential additional days by arrangement)
Start Date: February 2026
TARA Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded school in the South Shropshire area to recruit a School Administrator to join their office team on a part-time basis.
This is a key role within the school, providing essential administrative and organisational support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.
Key Responsibilities:

Acting as the first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies

Managing reception duties, phone calls and emails

Supporting attendance, pupil records and general data entry

Providing administrative support to senior leaders and teaching staff

Assisting with school systems, correspondence and filing

Supporting safeguarding and confidentiality procedures at all times
The Ideal School Administrator will..
-
Have previous administrative experience (school experience desirable but not essential)

Be organised, efficient and able to manage multiple tasks
-
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Be confident using IT systems (e.g. Microsoft Office)

Enjoy working in a busy, child-centred environment

Understand the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding
