Science Teacher – KS3 & KS4 with Some KS3 Maths

September Start | Temporary Until Christmas

TARA Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the West Midlands with the recruitment of a Science Teacher for a September start.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher to join a supportive school community, delivering Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, alongside a small amount of Key Stage 3 Maths. The role is initially on a temporary basis until Christmas.

About the Role

As a Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that encourage students to develop their scientific knowledge and curiosity. In addition to teaching Science at KS3 and KS4, you will also deliver a small number of KS3 Maths lessons, making this an ideal opportunity for a versatile teacher who is confident across both subjects.

You will become part of a collaborative department with a shared commitment to achieving the best outcomes for students while maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.

  • Confidence in delivering some KS3 Maths lessons.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • A passion for inspiring young people and raising achievement.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
