SEN Primary Teacher

Primary Teacher Vacancy – SEN Setting (Lower KS2: Year 3/4) – Full Time - September 2026

We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teacher for a full-time role starting in September, covering two terms, within a SEN academy in the Shrewsbury area.

This role is based in a Lower Key Stage 2 class (Year 3/4) and carries full teaching responsibilities. It would suit a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs, predominanly SEMH, to thrive both academically and emotionally.

The role

  • Full-time teaching position for two terms.

  • Teaching a Lower KS2 (Year 3/4) class within a SEN setting.

  • Full responsibility for planning, teaching, assessment and reporting.

  • Delivering a differentiated and engaging curriculum tailored to individual needs.

  • Working closely with support staff and the wider multidisciplinary team.

  • Creating a nurturing, structured and positive learning environment.

We are looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience within SEN, alternative provision or a strong interest in SEN.

  • Confidence in adapting teaching to meet diverse learning needs.

  • A patient, resilient and reflective practitioner.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
