This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate SENCO to join a supportive environment on an ongoing basis, making a real difference to students with additional needs. Full-time availability is strongly preferred for this SENCO role.

Overview of the Role
As SENCO, you will take the lead in coordinating and delivering high-quality provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities. The successful SENCO will work closely with senior leaders, teachers, and external agencies to ensure all students receive the support they need to thrive. This role is ideal for an organised and compassionate SENCO who is committed to inclusion and student progress.

The school is seeking a proactive SENCO who can effectively manage provision, maintain compliance with statutory requirements, and champion inclusive practice across the school. As SENCO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping whole-school strategies and ensuring every learner is supported to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage SEND provision across the school as SENCO

  • Identify, assess, and monitor students with additional needs

  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals

  • Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and maintain accurate records

  • Deliver training and guidance to staff to support inclusive teaching practices

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified teacher with QTS and the National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards)

  • Proven experience in a SENCO role or strong readiness to step into the position

  • Excellent knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Passionate about inclusion and improving outcomes for all learners
