Design Technology Teacher – Part-Time, Temporary

 

TARA Recruitment is seeking a motivated and adaptable Design Technology teacher to support a secondary school in the South Shropshire area from after Easter until May half term.

This Design Technology teacher role is for 4 days per week, with an ideal handover week commencing WC 23rd March. There is strong potential for the role to continue after May half term on a reduced timetable of 2 days per week.

The successful Design Technology teacher will deliver engaging, hands-on lessons across the Design Technology curriculum, inspiring students to think creatively while developing practical and technical skills. You’ll be joining a supportive team with established resources and clear schemes of work in place.

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
  • Be able to plan and deliver effective, engaging Design Technology lessons
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service

This opportunity is ideal for a confident Design Technology teacher who can hit the ground running, maintain high classroom standards, and quickly build rapport with students. Applications are welcome from experienced teachers and ECTs alike.

Pay is MPS / UPS, dependent on experience.
