About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and challenge students in a well-resourced and supportive Telford-based secondary school.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 and possibly into Key Stage 5, fostering a love for learning and helping students to develop a strong understanding of both physical and human geography.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing timely feedback and support
- Contribute to the wider school community and participate in department meetings and school events
- Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and academic expectations
- Support students with their GCSE (and A-Level, if required) preparations
Requirements:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or working towards QTS
- A degree in Geography or a related subject
- Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (KS3 and KS4 essential; KS5 desirable)
- A strong classroom presence and excellent behaviour management skills
- A genuine passion for Geography and education
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
