About the school:
The all-inclusive comprehensive Telford and Wrekin school are currently going through an exciting period of growth and are looking to expand their current staff.
The school has over 1000 students on roll, and the curriculum allows students to draw on knowledge, understanding and skills developed to prepare for life after their schooling years!
Due to the school’s location, it is easily accessible for Shropshire, Staffordshire and West Midlands applicants.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of students across Key Stages 3 and 4, including those with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Support students in lessons under the direction of the class teacher.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional help.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
- Help to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Supervise students during non-teaching times as required (e.g., breaks, lunch).
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including school events and trips.
Person Specification
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills (minimum of GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
Desirable attributes...
- Previous experience working with secondary-aged students.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Experience supporting students with SEN or behavioural needs.
- Relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate).
