We supporting a prestigious Shropshire school in recruiting for an exciting new Biology teaching opportunity within their school.
About the school…
With small classes, and based in the heart of Shrewsbury the school welcomes students from 4 – 18. It was recognised as ‘Excellent’ in their recent ISI report.
About the role…
They are looking to seek a part-time teacher of Biology to cover a maternity leave from November 2024.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to teach from Year 7 to Sixth Form with experience of delivering GCSE, and Advanced level is essential.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Biology Education, or a related field (PGCE or QTS preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in teaching up to A Level essential.
- Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that facilitate active learning experiences.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
- Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary.
