Supporting a Telford based school in recruiting a Maths teacher to start asap

I am working very closely with a partnering school in Telford in recruiting for a Maths Teacher to start after Feb half term.

The academy school values every student and set high expectations. It offers a wide range of subjects at A Level, and GCSE as well as a variety of vocational qualifications.

For several years, the school have been recognised as a high performing school. It continues to build on its many strengths to ensure outstanding examination results and life skills.

Based in central Telford, the school has easy links from surrounding areas including Shrewsbury, Staffordshire and Wolverhampton.

Start Date: Feb 2025

Timetable: Full time, part time.

Key Stage 3,4, 5

Duration: July 2025

LEA: Telford and Wrekin

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
  • Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Maths, Education, or a related field (PGCE or QTS preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in teaching up to GCSE essential.
  • Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students
