Recruiting for a partnering Shrewsbuy school for a Music Teacher to start in Jan

I am working with a partnering school in recruiting a Teacher of Music.

The school are looking for an innovative musician to join their Music department in the new year!

Located in the beautiful town of Shrewsbury, the secondary school provides many opportunities for staff and students.

With its recent OFTSED rating as ‘GOOD’ the school community works closely together, putting excellent teaching at the heart of what they do.

Role: Teacher of Music

Start Date: January 2025

Key Stage: 3&4

LEA: Shropshire

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous Music classroom teaching experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion to share this knowledge with students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons tailored to the diverse needs and abilities of students
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and academic achievement.
  • Manage student behaviour in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
  • Provide a supportive and positive learning environment for all students.
