Supporting a partnering school in recruiting for a specialist for a PE Maternity Cover.
I am working very closely with a partnering school in Telford in recruiting for a PE Teacher to start at the end of March on a long term basis

Based in central Telford, the school has easy links from surrounding areas including Shrewsbury, Staffordshire and Wolverhampton.
The role: PE Teacher
The Physical Education Teacher is responsible for developing and delivering engaging, age-appropriate, and inclusive physical education programs that promote physical activity, fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. This role plays a crucial part in encouraging students to adopt healthy lifestyle habits, build self-confidence, and foster a positive attitude toward physical activity.
Key Stage: 3,4 & 5
Year 11 and 12 BTEC PE and GCSE.
Reports to: Head of Department
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: MPS /UPS depending on experience
LEA: Telford and Wrekin
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curricula for students at various grade levels (elementary, middle, or high school).
- Teach a variety of physical education activities, including individual sports, team sports, fitness exercises, and recreational activities.
- Plan and organize lessons that cater to different skill levels and student abilities.
- Adapt teaching strategies to ensure all students, including those with disabilities, are fully engaged and challenged.
- Manage equipment and resources to ensure safe and efficient use during lessons.
- Encourage students to pursue physical fitness outside of school hours.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in physical education, health, and wellness.
- Continuously improve personal teaching practices through self-reflection and feedback.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in PE or a related field.
- QTS, QLTS or relevant teaching qualifications in secondary education
- Proven experience teaching Physical Education least GCSE Level.
