The role… Science Teacher
Start Date: April 2025
Duration: Summer Term initially.
Timetable: Full or Part Time

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our educational team. The Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and guiding students through scientific concepts and experiments. This role involves preparing lesson plans, assessing student performance, and helping students develop a deep understanding of various scientific disciplines, such as biology, chemistry, physics, or earth sciences.
Key Responsibilities…
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Science lessons for students at various grade levels.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide extra support to struggling students or offer enrichment opportunities to advanced students.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Biology or Education, or a related field (PGCE or QTS preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in teaching up to KS5.
- Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students
- To attend Parents Evening and discuss pupils academic progress and future targets.

- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to help them improve their academic performance.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Set clear expectations and manage student behaviour to ensure an effective learning space.
- Provide additional support to students who need assistance with the subject matter.
- Offer one-on-one tutoring or small group sessions as needed to reinforce key concepts.
